Happy feet

Just back from our first family visit to the cinema since we came to Sweden. We saw Happy Feet, which was a happy sort of singing and dancing film with pretty amazing graphics for an animated film. Not sure why Margaret and David gave it 4 and 1/2 and 5 stars respectively, but it was still an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon.

For five of us the price was 365 kronor. 85 kr for adults, 65 for children. That is roughly $70 (AUD) in total. So it was about double the price of the same activity in Tamworth. Even in Sydney I suspect we could have got away with $50-60. Going to the movies is certainly not a cheap entertainment in Sweden. By the time we had added bus fares into town and a couple of Happy Meals at McDonalds on the way home we had spent around $100 Australian.

Would have been cheaper to wait for the DVD. But it was nice to have a family outing for the Christmas holidays. Probably not something we can do too often though.
